What is the Spoto app?

The Spoto app is the owner's side of Spoto, the AI voice agent from Baghdad. The assistant answers your business calls; the app shows you everything it did, live, and lets you and your team do the same things yourselves: book, take orders, handle tickets and call customers back. It works in Arabic and English, on phones and tablets.

Spoto is a smart assistant that answers business calls in Iraqi Arabic, English and Kurdish, and books appointments, takes orders and opens tickets on the same call. The assistant and the app share the same records, so a time you book in the app is no longer offered on the phone, and an item you mark out of stock is no longer sold. For the full picture, read what is Spoto and the complete guide to AI voice agents in Iraq.

The app is invite only: Spoto creates the account for each business, and there is no sign-up button. A short welcome tour explains what Spoto is before you sign in.

What does the home screen show?

The home screen answers three questions in ten seconds: is my phone line OK, how is business going, and who needs me. At the top, a badge shows whether the assistant is answering calls. Below it come today's insights, a live call log and your customers list, with a reminder when something needs your attention.

  • Insights for today, the last 7 days or the last 30 days: calls answered with a trend and a comparison, the share of calls handled, calls that need a callback, four figures from your services such as bookings and orders, why people call in one plain sentence with a bar per reason, and the busiest hours of the day.
  • Calls: newest first. A call in progress shows "Active" with a running timer.
  • Customers: an A to Z list, Arabic names first, with a "+" to add one.
  • Plan card: shown only when your plan needs attention.

How do calls and customers work in the app?

Each call shows the caller's name if known (else the number), the time, duration, reason, outcome and what the call produced, with a link to the booking, order or ticket. Calls that went wrong are shown in red as needing a callback. From any call, one tap calls the person back or opens WhatsApp with their number.

The customer page brings one person together: their number with call and WhatsApp buttons, visits, orders, calls and no-shows, other people on the same number, the next appointment, notes, and the full history. The phone number is how the assistant recognises them when they call.

Search sits at the top of every screen. Type a name or any part of a phone number, written in any format (07…, +964…, 00964…). It also finds numbers that called but are not saved as customers.

What can you do with bookings?

The bookings screen starts with a today card: how many bookings today, how many are still to come, free times left, and the next booking with a live countdown. Then three views: a list (upcoming, needs closing, past), a day view with one card per doctor or table, and a week view with booked and free counts per day.

A booking's life in the app
  1. 01

    Booked

By the assistant on a call or by your team in the app. The app shows only times that really fit, and each booking says who made it.

  2. 02

    Moved

In one safe step. If the new time is refused, the original booking is kept.

  3. 03

    Cancelled

After a confirmation. The time becomes free at once, in the app and on the phone.

  4. 04

    Closed

After the time has passed, mark it completed or no-show. Completing early frees the time for new bookings.

Working hours live here too: per doctor or table, appointment length and gaps, weekly hours with several blocks per day and "copy to other days", and time off for a whole or part of a day. The assistant offers callers times from exactly these settings. For how clinics use this screen, read the AI phone assistant for clinics.

How does the orders screen work?

The orders screen works like a kitchen queue, oldest first: New, Preparing, Ready or On the way, and Past, with a filter for pickup or delivery. One tap moves an order to the next stage, with a five-second undo. A Now card shows whether phone orders are open and until when, counts per stage, today's takings and the order that has waited longest.

The order page has a timeline, the items (including anything the caller added later on a call), the total, the delivery address with a copy button, the customer with call and WhatsApp buttons, and notes. Cancelling returns counted stock automatically, and the app never lets anyone order more than is in stock.

The items screen sits behind it: items by category with price, stock and labels such as Low, Out of stock, Suggested or Hidden; spoken names for each item; "Hear what callers get", where you type what a caller might say and see what the assistant would find; stock adjustments, low-stock alerts and daily restock. Restaurants can read more in AI phone orders for restaurants.

How are tickets handled?

Tickets collect complaints, special orders and other requests. A queue card shows how many are new, in progress and urgent, and which has waited longest. Lists for new, in progress and past put urgent tickets on top, with a filter by type. Each ticket links to the call it came from and keeps private team notes the assistant never reads.

From a ticket you start work, mark it resolved with an optional note on what was done, or cancel it, and you can mark or unmark it urgent. Your team can also add tickets in the app, with an optional customer, type, subject, details of any length and an urgent flag. Every change is logged with who made it and when.

What does the Agent tab control?

The Agent tab is the assistant's control room. It shows whether the assistant is Live, Off or Paused by Spoto, with the numbers callers dial, and starts or stops answering with one tap after a confirmation. Switches turn bookings and orders on or off; tickets are always on. Services not in your plan are shown greyed out.

Agent tab: answering is Live on your business number

In the Spoto appnow

  • Book appointments: on
  • Take orders: off for tonight
  • Business profile: 5 of 8 topics filled

Under "What it knows" you find the business profile (eight topics, with a progress count), up to 30 common questions, and links to working hours and items, which the assistant also uses. A list of questions callers asked that the assistant could not answer is built into the app; capturing those questions on live calls is being connected now. You never see or edit the assistant's internal instructions: Spoto sets the voice, the greeting and the way it speaks.

What about notifications, settings and privacy?

Notifications reach the owner's phone when a call went wrong, when the assistant makes or cancels a booking, takes or changes an order, opens a ticket, or an item runs low, plus a daily summary at 20:00. Each type can be switched off, and quiet hours hold them until morning, except urgent tickets and failed calls.

  • Private notifications: they never show a customer's name, number or address. Tap one to open the record.
  • Language: Arabic or English, switched at once with no restart. Numbers always use Western digits.
  • Appearance: light, dark, or match the phone.
  • App lock: fingerprint, face or the phone's PIN, after 10 minutes away.
  • Sign out, or sign out of all devices at once.
  • Works everywhere: opens on the last data it saw, shows a banner when offline, and on a tablet held sideways shows a side menu and two columns.

Why does the app make Spoto the most advanced AI voice agent in Iraq?

The app is what turns Spoto from a voice on the phone into a full system. Every call and its result appear live, the owner controls answering, bookings and orders with one tap, the team works in the same records the assistant uses, and insights show why customers call and when, in Arabic and English.

  1. Live, not reports: every call, booking, order and ticket appears as it happens.
  2. One shared system: the assistant and the team never work from different lists.
  3. Control in one tap: answering, bookings and orders, on or off.
  4. Insights that matter: reasons for calling, busiest hours, calls to call back.
  5. Built for Iraq: Arabic and English, Western digits, Iraqi time.
  6. Private by design: app lock, private notifications, data never sold.

Questions and answers

Who is the Spoto app for?

For the business owner and their team, not for the business's customers. Customers simply call your number and talk to the assistant.

Do I see calls as they happen?

Yes. A call in progress shows "Active" with a running timer, and its booking, order or ticket appears the moment it is made.

Can my team book and take orders in the app too?

Yes. The app and the assistant use the same records, so a booking or order added in the app is respected on the phone at once.

Can I turn the assistant off from the app?

Yes. The Agent tab starts or stops answering with one tap after a confirmation, and has separate switches for bookings and orders.

Is the app in Arabic?

Yes. The app works in Arabic and English, switched at once, and Arabic is fully right to left.

Do notifications show customer details?

No. Notifications never show a customer's name, number or address. Tap one to open the record in the app.
