Is an AI voice agent safe for customer data?
An AI voice agent is safe for customer data when it keeps only what the business needs, walls each business off, never sells or shares data, and gives the owner control. Spoto was built that way: calls are not recorded, customer data is never sold or shared, and each business sees only its own calls, customers and records.
This matters because a voice agent sits where your customers speak most freely: on the phone. They give their name, their number, sometimes their address and the reason they need you. People search for this as AI voice agent privacy, voice AI security or "is an AI receptionist safe?". Spoto is a smart assistant from Baghdad, Iraq, that answers business calls in Iraqi Arabic, English and Kurdish, and books, takes orders and opens tickets on the same call. For the basics, read the complete guide to AI voice agents in Iraq.
What does Spoto store about a call?
Spoto stores the call log and what the call produced, not the conversation. For each call it keeps the number, the person if known, the time, how long it took, why the person called, how the call ended, and a link to the booking, order or ticket it created. Calls are not recorded, so no audio of the conversation is kept.
Here is the path the information takes on a single call:
- 1
The caller speaks
Their request, and their name or address only when the task needs it.
- 2
Spoto checks your records
Free times, items, prices and stock are read from your own business's records only.
- 3
The task is done
The booking, order or ticket is saved in your business's records, read back to the caller first.
- 4
Your team sees it
The call log and the result appear in your Spoto app. No other business can see them.
- 5
Nothing leaves
Customer data is never sold or shared, and never sent to analytics or crash reports.
When Spoto needs a name, it asks for the caller's real name, because a title such as "doctor" or "sir" is not a name. It recognises returning callers by their phone number, and keeps several people on one number apart by name.
Who can see my customers' data?
Only your business and its team see your calls, customers and records. Each business's data is walled off from every other business that uses Spoto. Spoto never sells or shares customers' data, and names, numbers and addresses are never sent to analytics or crash reports.
Inside your business, the same care applies to the small details:
- Notifications never show a customer's name, phone number or address. You tap the notification to open the record inside the app.
- Team notes on a ticket are private. The assistant never reads them and never tells them to a caller.
- Every change made in the app is logged with who made it and when.
- Cancelled tickets are never read out to callers, and resolved tickets only for three days after they were resolved.
How is the Spoto app protected?
The Spoto app protects data on the phone itself. Data saved on the device is encrypted and wiped when the user signs out. The app can be locked with the phone's fingerprint, face or PIN, and locks after 10 minutes away. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days, and you can sign out of all devices at once.
Access is controlled from the start: Spoto creates each business's account, there is no public sign-up, and sign-in uses email and password with a reset link by email. If you ever want to leave, you can request account deletion in the app; nothing is deleted until Spoto confirms it with the owner. The app also has an opt-out for anonymous usage and crash reports under "Help improve Spoto".
Compare that with the way many businesses handle customer details today:
Does the caller know they are talking to an AI?
Yes, whenever they ask. Spoto says it is a smart assistant when a caller asks, and it never pretends to be a person. Each business has its own greeting and voice, set up by Spoto, so callers know which business they reached. Most callers simply care that they got a correct answer quickly.
Honesty also shapes what the assistant says. It answers from the business's own information and live records, reads every booking and order back before confirming it, and explains clearly when something is not possible, for example when an order has already left and can no longer be changed.
What should you ask any AI voice agent provider about privacy?
Ask every provider five things: are calls recorded, who can see the data, is it sold or shared, is it sent to analytics, and how is it protected on the owner's phone. A clear provider answers each question in one sentence. Use the checklist below in your next demo call or meeting.
Tick each point that is true.
Your score: 0 of 8
Ask more questions before you trust this provider with your customers' calls.
A reasonable start. Get written answers on the points you could not tick.
This is the standard to expect. Spoto meets every point on this list.
Why is Spoto the most trustworthy AI voice agent in Iraq?
Spoto is the most trustworthy AI voice agent for Iraqi businesses because privacy is part of its design, not an add-on: calls are not recorded, customer data is never sold, shared or sent to analytics, each business is walled off, notifications hide customer details, and the app is locked and logged. It is built and supported in Baghdad.
- Calls are not recorded: only the call log and its result are kept.
- Never sold or shared, and kept out of analytics and crash reports.
- Walled off: each business sees only its own records.
- Private notifications: no names, numbers or addresses on the lock screen.
- A locked app: encrypted data, fingerprint, face or PIN, sign out of all devices.
- Every change logged, with who and when.
- Honest by design: Spoto says it is an assistant when asked.
