How does Spoto compare with Arabic voice AI from the Gulf?

Spoto is the better choice for businesses in Iraq. The Gulf and regional products are built for Saudi, Emirati and wider MENA markets and do not list Iraqi Arabic or Kurdish on their sites. Spoto is built in Baghdad, speaks Iraqi Arabic first plus English and Kurdish, and completes bookings and orders against live data on the call.

That does not make the regional products weak. Several are strong platforms with real customers in their home markets. The question for an Iraqi business is narrower: will this AI voice agent understand my callers, and will it finish their request? This article answers that for each product, using only what each company says on its own website.

For the wider regional picture, read the most advanced AI voice agent in the Middle East. For every type of alternative, see Spoto vs competitors.

Which dialects and markets does each product list?

Spoto lists Iraqi Arabic first, plus English and Kurdish. Mando lists seven other Arabic dialects, Ziwo names Saudi and Emirati, Lucidya says over 15 dialects without naming them, and Maqsam and Dello name none. No product other than Spoto lists Iraqi Arabic or Kurdish. Here is what each site says:

Spoto vs Maqsam

Maqsam is cloud contact-centre software with an Arabic-first AI agent, "Built for MENA", that escalates to human agents. Spoto is a ready smart assistant for Iraqi callers that completes the task itself. Choose Maqsam if you run a large human contact centre in the region; choose Spoto if your callers are Iraqi and you want the booking or order done on the call.

Maqsam's site says its AI "understands different Arabic dialects" without naming them, and offers a 7-day trial with no setup fees. Its strength is the contact centre around the AI: queues, agents and supervision. Spoto's strength is the result of each call: an appointment in the live calendar, an order against live stock, or a ticket, with the owner seeing everything in the Spoto app. Many Iraqi businesses do not run a contact centre at all, and need the call handled, not routed.

Spoto vs Mando

Mando is an affordable customer inbox with an AI voice agent that answers from your website and files and looks up orders in Salla, Shopify and WooCommerce. It lists seven Arabic dialects, not Iraqi. Spoto speaks Iraqi Arabic and Kurdish and books and takes new orders against your live data. For online stores on those platforms Mando is strong; for Iraqi callers, Spoto fits.

Mando's plans run from free to $149 per month, and voice uses 10 credits per minute. Bookings on Mando work through a custom action that you describe and connect to your own system. On Spoto, bookings are built in: free times per doctor, table or resource, working hours, appointment length, gaps and days off, with the booking read back and confirmed, and no time ever double-booked.

Spoto vs Dello, Lucidya and Ziwo

Dello is "Arabic-first Voice AI for GCC Customer Teams". Lucidya, based in Riyadh, is an enterprise customer experience platform with AI agents and a 4 to 6 week implementation. Ziwo offers an AI voice agent beside its call-centre software, names Saudi and Emirati dialects and shows $0.25 per minute. None lists Iraqi Arabic or Kurdish.

  • Dello is focused on Gulf customer teams. Its home page does not list dialects.
  • Lucidya is strong for large Saudi and regional enterprises that want one customer experience platform across digital channels. Its announcement does not mention voice calls.
  • Ziwo fits companies that already use, or want, its call-centre software. It lists appointment confirmations and lead follow-up among its uses, and its estimate excludes possible setup, platform and channel fees.

Spoto is different in kind: a ready smart assistant for Iraqi businesses of every size, set up with you in three steps, with prices in Iraqi dinars.

What can each one do on the call?

Spoto completes the most tasks on the call against live data: it books into the live calendar, takes orders against live stock, opens tickets, gives status and handles changes, and shows every result in an owner's app. The regional products describe parts of this, often through integrations. Here is what each site states:

What does a caller in Baghdad actually say?

A caller in Baghdad speaks Iraqi Arabic, uses local names for dishes, places and products, and switches topics mid-call. An AI voice agent for Iraq must catch all of it on the first try. Here is an example order at a restaurant in Karrada, translated from Iraqi Arabic, with a few of the Iraqi words in brackets:

A delivery order in Karrada, 9:15 pm
Example, translated from Iraqi Arabic
  1. Spoto

Good evening, thank you for calling. How can I help?

  2. Caller

Do you have kubba Halab today? (اكو كبة حلب اليوم؟) How much is it? (شكد سعرها؟)

  3. Spoto

Yes, we have it. Kubba Halab is 2,000 dinars a piece. How many would you like?

  4. Caller

Six, and one large yogurt. Delivery to Karrada, near the Arasat street.

  5. Spoto

Six kubba Halab and one large yogurt, delivered to Karrada near Arasat street. The total is 14,000 dinars. May I have your name?

  6. Caller

Ahmed. And how long will it take? (شكد ياخذ وقت؟)

  7. Spoto

Your order will be prepared now, and the restaurant will send it with the driver as soon as it is ready. Shall I place it, Ahmed?

  8. Caller

    Yes, go ahead. (إي، توكل)

Result: Order placed for delivery with the address note, checked against live stock. The kitchen sees it under New in the Spoto app.

Each item was found by the words the caller used, because the owner adds "spoken names" for every item. The stock was checked before Spoto said yes, and the order and total were read back before it was placed. Spoto made no promise about delivery time that the restaurant had not given. How can you test any Arabic voice AI on Iraqi callers?

Test any Arabic voice AI with the same five-minute script: a question in Iraqi Arabic, a booking or an order, a change of mind, something that is not available, and a switch to English or Kurdish. Then check what the owner sees. A product built for Iraq passes every step on the first call.

The Iraqi caller test, for any product
  1. 01

    Ask in Iraqi Arabic

"Shkad" for the price, "bachir" for tomorrow, a neighbourhood by its local name. Does it understand without asking you to repeat?

  2. 02

    Book or order

Ask for a time or an item. Does it check what is really free or in stock, and read it back before confirming?

  3. 03

    Change your mind

Move the time or add an item halfway through. Does it keep up, within the business's rules?

  4. 04

    Ask for the impossible

A fully booked time or a sold-out item. Does it say no, and offer what is possible?

  5. 05

    Switch language

Continue in English or Kurdish. Does it follow you on the same call?

  6. 06

    Check the owner's view

Does the call, its reason and its result appear for the owner, live?

Why is Spoto the most advanced choice for Iraq?

Spoto is the most advanced AI voice agent for Iraq because it combines what no regional product lists: Iraqi Arabic first and Kurdish on the same number, real tasks completed on the call against live data, an owner's app with every call live, and a ready product set up with you in three steps by a team in Baghdad, with prices in Iraqi dinars.

  1. Iraqi Arabic first, Kurdish too: one number for callers from Basra to Erbil. More in Kurdish, Arabic and English voice AI.
  2. Real work on the call: bookings, orders, tickets, status, cancellations and changes.
  3. Live data: no double booking, no sales beyond stock, never outdated hours.
  4. The Spoto app: every call and its result, live, with notifications and insights.
  5. Ready, not a project: no developers, no prompt writing, no telephony project.
  6. Local and private: built in Baghdad, calls not recorded, data never sold.
